Abstract: Politics and economy game theory is one of the paradigms that explain why China's journalism reform happens. There are two types of interpretations that focus on the state-market" under this paradigm. Succession is mainly reflected on the position that nation and market are either-or things, where liberals focus on the state and the new leftists focus on the market; subsequent developmental scholars think state and market can be integrated with each other as a state-market complex and they hold different opinions on the function and property of the market. Besides, journalism professionalism is also regarded as the third force that acts on journalism in China. The development of the Internet technology and the state divergence will also challenge the politics and economy game theory in the future.
