Abstraction: The paper focuses on the early dissemination of Lenin’s works and publicity ideas in China. The main reference data of the paper is Chinese newspapers and magazines published in the period from 1917 to 1927. The period could be divided into 3 parts by 2 turning points. The first period started in May,1917 and ended in March,1920. In May 1917, it was the first time that contents about Lenin and the October Revolution was reported by Chinese newspapers. In March 1920, representatives of Comintern visited China. The second period was from April, 1920 to December, 1923. The beginning is the time that representatives of Comintern visited China, and the end is the time of Lenin’s death. The third period is from January 1924 to the end of 1927. The process the early dissemination could be summarized as the transition from translation, explanation to exploratory practice.
